Running in Stowe
Extensive trail networks including singletrack and double track trails from Stowe village, Trapp Family Lodge to the top of Mt Mansfield make Stowe a running paradise in the heart of the Green Mountains!
1 on 1 or small group training
Whether your seeking the training and know how to bust out that PR marathon or trail race or just get a step ahead of your buddies VTXC offers the know how skills to help you get there! Small pack with water and a snack as well as dry shirt and wind layer recommended. Sessions are about an hour and a half in duration. $185 every 4 weeks for 1 person and an additional per person after that. Training includes-
- Unlimited contact with coach over phone or email on an as needed basis
- Daily workouts sent in 1 week blocks customized to individual physiological limiters based on heart rate and threshold and periodization
- Online training log and tracking through Garmin or Suunto software.
- Continuous contact and access to your coach throughout the season.
Backcountry Running Tours
choose an epic backcountry running excursion complete with mountain trail, single-track, and secret swimming holes. VTXC offers an insiders adventure. Sum it up with a beer tasting at one of Stowe’s bubbling breweries including Trapp Family Lodge, The Alchemist and Idle Tyme. Prices depend on tour duration and size. Email vtxcski.org for info.
Ryan Kerrigan and nationally renown high school coach John Kerrigan of the Harwood XC program will be the head coaches. Other local star athletes and coaches sometimes come out of the wood work!
